Can Crush ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the Can Crush mobile application.

Information We Collect

When using Can Crush, users may upload images of crushed cans placed next to a standard payment card used for scale. These images are processed on your device to measure the diameter of crushed cans. The card region is masked before upload — no card pixel data is ever transmitted or stored.

The app may also collect:

• Username, email address, and profile information
• Uploaded crush images (with card region masked)
• Leaderboard statistics and competition results
• Coarse location (country and region, for geo-scoped leaderboards)
• Device push notification tokens
• Basic usage analytics via Firebase

How We Use Information

Information collected is used to:

• Measure crushed can diameters and display results
• Rank users on global, country, and regional leaderboards
• Enable friend connections, competitions, and challenges
• Send push notifications for badges, competitions, and friend activity
• Improve app functionality and detect abuse
• Serve non-intrusive advertisements (Google AdMob)

Data Storage

Images and associated data are stored securely on Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Crush images are served through Cloudflare CDN. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob (advertising)
• Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting)
• Apple Sign In / Google Sign In (authentication)
• Microsoft Azure (hosting and storage)
• Cloudflare (CDN and edge security)

App Tracking Transparency

On iOS 14.5 and later, the app requests your permission before tracking activity across other apps and websites for advertising purposes. You can change this permission at any time in your device's Settings. The app functions fully regardless of your choice.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app, or by emailing support@cancrush.ai. See our Account Deletion page for details on what data is removed and retained.
